I have been using skid boots for the last 20 years for my reining horses. They are very expensive. When I purchased these boots, I asked if I could return them if they did not work. If they turned and did not stay in place or rubbed my horses. I GIVE these boots a 10. They worked great!!!! No rub and No turning on the horse.

I was attracted to these boots because they are not leather. I two pairs of nice leather skid boots I didn't use for a few years that dry rotted in my rope bag in the tack room. BUT... The velcro on these boots fills up with sand on the first stop and come partially undone. They twist and done stay in place at the back of the fetlock. One boot is always on the side of the fetlock. Buy a good leather pair and keep them oiled and keep using them. pass these up.
