The Greg Darnall Loomis Shank Bit features a sweet iron snaffle 7/16" diameter mouth with copper inlays. Ideal for young horses and a versatile all-around western bit. Mild enough to use with training aids.
The Greg Darnall Loomis Shank Bit with 7/16" mouth is a jointed western snaffle with a gentle effect. It has a variety of training applications from a transition bit to a headsetter when used with draw reins. It is just as versatile in the show pen with reiners or pleasure horses. The cold steel mouthpiece will rust, creating a pleasant taste. Inlaid copper bars add to the sweet taste. 8" cheeks, 5" mouth. Greg makes a variety of bits that any horse and rider combination can use. His philosophy is that the bridle bit is one of the primary modes of communication between horse and rider. No two horses or riders are alike.
